Urban Lotus Project is free to read. To keep it that way, we earn money in two ways. Neither one costs you anything extra, and neither one decides what we recommend.
1. Affiliate links
Some links on our site are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, we may earn a small commission at no additional cost to you. As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases. Product roundups and guides that contain affiliate links say so on the page.
2. Connecting you with local pros
On our services pages you can request free quotes or call a local provider. These requests are handled by our lead-generation partners (including Lead Smart and Networx Systems, Inc.) and the professionals they match you with, and we may earn a referral fee. You never pay us anything. When you submit a quote form, you agree to be contacted as described in the consent notice on that form; consent is not a condition of purchase.
Our editorial independence
Affiliate and referral relationships never decide our editorial content. Products are chosen on specifications, labels, value and fit for the job, not on commission rates. Read our editorial standards for how we research and write.
Why we tell you this
This disclosure follows the U.S. Federal Trade Commission’s guidance on endorsements and affiliate relationships. We want you to know exactly how the site is paid for.
